Over thirty Football stakeholders, Pledges Support for Raji’s Third Term Bid

Monrovia, Liberia – Ahead of the April 18 voting in Harper City, Maryland County, over thirty football stakeholders have renewed their support for incumbent Liberia Football Association (LFA) President Mustapha Raji, giving him a significant boost in his campaign for a third term.

Influential members of the football community were among those who expressed their “unconditional support” for Raji’s reelection. They signed a resolution formalizing their stance and expressing their desire to support his leadership.

The statement was read by Attorney-at-Law Ansu Dulleh, Vice President of Small Town FC, on Monday, March 23, 2026, in Paynesville City states that WHEREAS, the Liberia Football Association (LFA) is composed of fifty (50) member delegates vested with full voting rights under the LFA Statutes;

WHEREAS, more than 30 delegates of the said fifty (50) voting delegates, representing a clear and decisive majority of the LFA’s congress, have convened to review the progress of football governance in the Republic of Liberia;

WHEREAS, President Mustapha I. Raji has demonstrated superior leadership since 2018, overseeing the transformation of Liberia Football at all levels, including the construction of a state-of-the-art LFA headquarters and the decentralization of football through mini-stadium projects across several counties;

WHEREAS, the current administration has significantly increased financial subventions to clubs from US$3,937.00 to US$7,500.00 and prize money for national divisions where Women’s Upper League Champions now receives US$25,000.00, Second Division Champions now receives US$10,000.00 and First Division Champions now receives U$30,000.00 fostering professional growth and stability within the league;

WHEREAS, under this leadership, women’s football and grassroots youth programs (U-15, U-17, and U-20) have seen unprecedented expansion and international recognition;

“We, the more than 30 delegate members, hereby reaffirm our unconditional support for Mustapha I. Raji’s candidacy for a third term in the upcoming April 18, 2026, elective congress in Harper City, Maryland County.”

We believe that maintaining the current momentum is critical to consolidating the reforms and infrastructure gains achieved over the past eight years,” Ansu Dulleh, Vice President of Small Town FC.

We urge all football stakeholders to prioritize stability and constructive dialogue to ensure the continued development of the sport in Liberia and adherence to our Statutes and Regulations in the resolution of disputes as enshrined.
