Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has accepted the resignations of two senior government officials.
The officials in question are Madam Emma Catherine Metieh Glassco, the suspended Director General of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Agency (NaFAA), and Madam Mariama Kamara Macauley, the Deputy Director-General for Training & Development at the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA).
According to a statement from the Executive Mansion, Madam Glassco submitted her resignation on November 11, 2025, requesting that it take effect immediately citing “domestic reasons.” She conveyed her sincere appreciation to President Boakai and the Liberian government for the chance to serve, calling her time at NaFAA a unique privilege and expressing delight in helping to develop the country’s fishing and aquaculture industry.
In a similar vein, on November 24, 2025, Madam Mariama Kamara Macauley filed her resignation, citing that her decision came after a careful considerable thought and personal reasons that demand her whole attention. she extol President Boakai for the chance to work in his government emphasizing her resolve to keep providing the government’s public sector reform initiatives with moral and professional assistance adding that she stands ready to serve the nation in any future role where her knowledge would be helpful.
President Boakai in return extended thanks to both officials for their service and contributions to national development and wished them the best in their future endeavors.
