Guinean Business Tycoon Seeks to Explore Potential Investment in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Mr. Kerfalla Person Camara, President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Guicopres of the Republic of Guinea, is currently in Liberian for discussions aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and exploring strategic investment opportunities in Liberia.

Mr. Camara’s visit to the country is in line with Liberia’s national development priorities such as infrastructure development, public-private partnerships, real estate, industrial development, agriculture, tourism, are the main areas of focus.

Mr. Camara’s Groupe Guicopres is one of Guinea’s leading indigenous construction and infrastructure companies, with extensive experience in delivering large-scale projects, including roads, bridges, government facilities, housing developments, healthcare infrastructure, educational institutions, and commercial complexes across the region.

President Boakai expressed gratitude for Mr. Camara’s interest in Liberia and pointed out that further cooperation between Guinean and Liberian companies will enhance regional economic integration and foster prosperity among West Africans.

President Boakai emphasized the importance of partnerships that promote economic growth, job creation, technology transfer, and infrastructure modernization while highlighting Liberia’s commitment to fostering an environment that encourages responsible investment, particularly in the sub-region.

Mr. Camara, as one of Guinea’s most accomplished entrepreneurs, who lead one of the largest indigenous construction and infrastructure companies in West Africa upon being acepted by president Boakai stated that he would like to have a long-term presence in Liberia and collaborate with the government and local companies.
